![]() So other people sayed that Eldritch is more material and "rouge" while trickster is more into spellcasting, but also Trickster is just one of t1-2 options while Eldritch is in the middle - are not useless and can rock in right situation with right tactics but is not best in anything. For everything about the Pathfinder Tabletop RPG! (Not administered by or affiliated with Paizo Publishing® in any way). He can cast other buffs on himself.but as standard and 6lvl of spells. Yep, he can cast invisibility and greater invisibility.wait, ninja can do same as swift action. He get really bad sneak attack progression wich makes him bad in material combat and have not got spellstrike and spell combat like magus to mix spells with melee, bardic music like bard wich is effectively 9spl progression spellike ability or eidolon like summoner wich is just strong and good body to buffs, cant buff himself faster like war prist and so on. Id say its better to orc or another blasting bloodline sorc then wizard but it depends.Įldritch Scoundrel is just common archetype wich can do something and be playeble, he is not the worst but it is not really option if you are optimazing nombers. ![]() etc.)Īrcane Trickster is one of very short number of really good prestige classes if bild right (mostly you just go rouge or even any other class with 1 lvl of sneak attack, then full caster, feat to +1d6 sneak and full trickster). You won't have the spare skill points for stuff like climb, but you can cast fly. You get less sneak attack progression, but you can cast sense vitals and later on can trigger it more reliably with greater invisibility. An eldritch scoundrel on the other hand is going to play like a rogue (generally implying a more frontline oriented approach), compensating for what the archetype loses via spells (you don't get armor, but you can cast mage armor/shield/mirror image. An arcane trickster is going to be a backliner who plays like a full arcane caster (because it is), who has a couple extra tricks and happens to get a bit of extra damage on spells under the right conditions. To be honest, the two don't really fill the same niche. Generally arcane trickster is considered to be stronger, but generally wizard is considered to be stronger than rogue, so the rogue/wizard hybrid that's more wizardly is going to be considered stronger than the rogue/wizard hybrid that's more rogueish. The best way to look at it IMO is that an eldritch scoundrel is a rogue who casts, whereas an arcane trickster is a caster who does rogueish stuff.ĪT gets 9th level spells (assuming you go back into wizard after AT) and class features that interact with spells (tricky spells, surprise spells), but only gets +10 BAB.ĮS only gets 6th level spells, but gets +15 BAB, skill unlocks, and class features that interact with martial combat (finesse training for dex to damage, debilitating injury works for any sneak attack but the benefits are more notable for a martial IMO). /r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs./r/Pathfinder2e - For dedicated Second Edition discussion./r/Pathfinder - For Pathfinder Society Organization/Discussion.Other subreddits you might be interested in: Fillable character sheets and intelligent character builders. Some of these tools and resources include the following: We have a Wiki page that includes links for various useful tools and resources, most of which have been provided by the members of this community.
